"Sing Like Vitas" Contest

Can you sing like renowned pop star Vitas?

Maybe you can’t (who really can?), but you can create a funny or creative version…

Simply send us a link to your “Sing Like Vitas” video on YouTube and we’ll post it to VitasVitas.com, and enter you in the contest.

Check out this great example of Vitas's beautiful voice and amazing range!

The rules are as follows:

1. You can only enter original videos of you singing (or trying to sing) like Vitas.

2. The videos can be actual attempts to hit Vitas’s amazing vocal range, or spoof videos.

3. The videos become the property of Yovia, LLC and will be used to gain exposure for Vitas in the United States.

Fantastic prizes:

1. "Best Singer"- $250 in cash plus a personalized, framed autographed copy of Vitas’ exclusive new CD/DVD combo album. Autographed album to include a handwritten letter from Vitas, congratulating the winner on their accomplishment. Awarded to the “Best singer” - who can demonstrate the closest vocal range to Vitas's. This will be judged by Gemini Sun Records.

2. “Funniest spoof” - $100 USD. Awarded to the “Funniest spoof” - who can make the funniest video about Vitas. The winner will be based on who gets the most views and votes on YouTube (so be sure to promote your videos!).

3. 10 runner-ups in each category will be awarded a free copy of Vitas's exclusive new American release of his CD/DVD combo.

The deadline for entries is August 1, 2008. A winner will be picked on October 1, 2008.

Terms:
The objective of the “Sing Like Vitas” contest is to generate increased web traffic to vitasvitas.com. This objective will be met through the promotion of this contest amongst the online music communities of Yovia.com

The contest begins when announced and ends at 11:59PM EDT, August 1, 2008.

The contest is sponsored by, and prizes offered by Gemini Sun Records.

The contest is void where prohibited by law.

Eligibility:
If you are under the age of 16, you must obtain permission from your parent/guardian before entering.

Entries:
All You Tube legal terms and conditions apply to your entry.

No responsibility is accepted by Gemini Sun Records or Yovia.com for entries that are not received or You Tube links that do not upload correctly.

Prize:

There will be no alternative prizes or cash alternatives. First and second prize winners from outside of the U.S. will receive an equal cash equivalent based on the existing currency exchange rate at the time a winner is selected.

Prizes will be sent to winners via the least expensive service/rate. No insurance or tracking/receipt confirmation will be included. Gemini Sun Records and Yovia.com are not responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail.

Winner notification:
Winners will be notified via e-mail.

If the prize winner's e-mail is undeliverable after two attempts at contact, or if the winner does not claim the prize within one week (7 days) of notification, the winner is disqualified and a new winner will be chosen randomly.
